I have a huge thing for ecmajor’s work, even though his pictures are resembling real horses in a somewhat too uncanny way for myself. But they definitely succeed at being nice porn and artistically appreciable.
Then there’s MegaSweet, his linework is gorgeous and most often his porn hits my tastes. Plus he manages to put humor into his porn and he doesn’t take himself seriously, which is great.
kevinsano, he just knows how to draw artistically pleasant and interesting porn, also I really like how he most of the time only inserts the tip of the penis when he draws penetration.
Haiku, because the stuff he draws overlaps with my fetishes all the fucking time.
Doxy, because those humans and those pony vaginas and everything.
Braeburned, because he draws the nicest male pony parts I’ve ever seen.

I’ll probably go back and forth for a long time to come, not only on the question on how to portrait private parts. I like to try new things and in general draw what I’m in the mood for. For example, sometimes I’m in the mood for teats, but most of the time I’m not. Same with equine looking vaginas. I tried to find somewhat of a middle ground with them, but as of lately I’m more often trying to somewhat emulate equine ones, inspired by kev and ecmajor and many other great artists, for example.
My whole style is all over the place since I started drawing ponies. I’m still a very beginner artist, that together with the fact that my tastes change and vary so much and I just love to try new things, is responsible for me being all over the place. I know that it has to be somewhat frustrating for someone who likes some specific things I do or once did. And I realize that I’m throwing art consistency out of the window with that stance. But I feel like a kid experimenting with something exciting for the first time. And I really like that. Basically I’m just along for the ride to create new and interesting stuff that I’m in the mood for. And I’m never quite sure where my next drawing is gonna take me.
But I try to make progress and become gradually better at doing stuff. Even if my preferences for candy colored ponyvags changes weekly.

And for the record: The closeup of Futashy I did a while back had a human penis. But I think they look even more strange on a pony than the equine ones do.
Thanks for the question, I enjoyed clarifing my view on the matter and I’m sure a lot of followers were wondering the same.

You mean like Blowsy (and here) or Spaerkpone or Kneaded Rubber (together with Blowsy) or Chrome and IE pony? And if you count Futashy as an OC, I did her too.
I’ve only drawn OC’s I have a more or less personal connection to. (Well, besides Chrome x IE, but that’s an adorable ship and that’s why) And I think it would be very strange for me to spend a lot of time on drawing a character that’s absolutely random and unimportant to me when I could use this time instead to draw something that’s important to me.
(Obviously commissions are an exception to this, because a commission is automatically important to me, no matter which character I’m drawing)

I’m a huge sucker for spoilers, so if I hear or see something exciting and regarding to my interests (Applejack) I probably will post about that here or draw something subtle regarding the spoiler. Like my smile, smile, smile picture last year.
I do understamd and respect that there are people who don’t like spoilers, though. So I will post all spoilers behind a page break and tag the post “spoiler”.
After the episode aired everything is fair game, though!

Since a lot of people don’t seem to read tags and use google, okay: Figging is a sexual practice where someone inserts a ginger root into their or their partners anus. It’s causing discomfort and a burning sensation. The origin of said sexual practice is gingering, something people did in the past (and apparently sometimes still today) to their horses so that they appear more lively and young due to the discomfort in their ass. Which among other things makes them lift their tail. Especially when selling or showing off the horse. I highly condemn the real world practice, because it’s very cruel to a non consenting horse and animal abuse.
The sexual practice on the other hand is another matter. And since Rarity is obviously enjoying herself (see the subtle dripping in the last panel) this is kinda a kink to her.
Also I can see her doing that to herself because maybe she thinks it’s not real beauty until it hurts a little bit. (See high-heels, waxing, and whatnot for real world examples.)
But yeah, basically it was just a reference to figging with a shout-out to it’s origins.
I’m sorry I never continued the bonus series of the flowers. It’s still on the back of my head on some days, and I still have the list of ideas and requests saved on my desktop. I really enjoyed doing the mane six one and futashy, and I kinda want to do the bonus ones too, but at the moment I’m just having way too much fun doing other drawings and I don’t really know how to motivate myself enough to work on the flowers.
I really like your suggestion, by the way! I’m sure that would be interesting to draw and to see, but I doubt I’m going to draw that anytime soon, sorry. :(
