All of my close friends do know about my art in some way or another, tho. So it wasn’t an issue telling them. For friends who are less close or for family we just tell them we met because we were both in the same fandom, most of the time we also say it’s because of ponies, just no details, haha. Our wedding also had some subtle pony references (Appledash cake topper, our friend who was the officiant made some references in his speech, each table was the colors of one of the mane six, etc).
So yeh, in general people know we met because we’re both into art or ponies and that’s how we started talking on Skype and then met up in real life for the first time at a convention in New York! (Bronycon ‘12)
Oh and that reminds me of something! One of my wife’s friends apparently was aware of my blog, so after we started dating and it turned serious and she told her friend about me, the friend was all like “wait a second, are you talking about Rat?” The world is small.
I showed her your ask and she started smiling like crazy!

We started talking 5 years ago because I drew fanart for one of her clopfics about Appledash. And now we’re married. So, she approves! :D
Also, I’m sorry for the onslaught of advertising posts lately! I feel bad about not having new art ready.
It’s my wife’s birthday tomorrow, so we’re going on a day trip to celebrate. But as soon as I’m back I’ll be back at drawing full time again and can hopefully finally start posting those half-finished pictures I’m working on! If you’ve been in my streams lately, you probably saw me working on four or five of them, haha.
Thank you so much! I love working with all kinds of different artists, too. Because I always discover someone new whose art I can admire.
Also that reminds me that I should be drawing more Applejack! One of the pictures I’m working on right now is a Rarijack piece, I hope I can post it soon!

Y'know, you said the exact same thing about the Plotbook 2 back in the day. And I was very patient with you then, telling you it’s not a scam, sending you photos and providing preview images. I will tell you the same thing about the Plotbook 3 now.
If you did end up checking out the Plotbook 2, 3 is the same deal, just new pictures and slightly different artists than last time. All pictures are 100% female and feral. Each of the six artists has a few exclusive, completely new pictures in it for a total of 10 new and exclusive pictures. Plus 30 pictures that are already part of the artists’ portfolios, but weren’t part of the Plotbook 1 or 2.
The Clopbook is only tangentially related to the Plotbook series and is a completely different project with a wholly different premise.
There’s a lot of info about the new and past Plotbooks out there. They are not “100% confirmed scam” and we never falsely advertised anything, as far as I know.
If you think those books/digital folios are scam, don’t buy them. I remember you take issue with virtually every existing folio or book project out there as well as with artists who run patreons. So I really don’t know what to tell you. Because I’m sure I’ll get the same message from you again the next time I’m part of a project. As will everyone else involved.
It’s totally fine if you don’t want to spend money on these things. I understand. There are a lot of very valid reasons why someone doesn’t want to support these kind of projects. That’s why I try to provide most of my content for free. Even the exclusive pictures of certain projects I’m part of, at least as soon as I’m allowed to. But just because you don’t like them, doesn’t mean they’re automatically a scam. Plus I’m sure you can find the exclusive content out there anyways if you’re interested in checking out the quality.

When I wrote the title of the last post it reminded me of the same thing and I almost rephrased it. Glad I didn’t, and I’m glad my brain isn’t the only one that works that way!
Hey everyone! Just a small update.
Babscon was great! Huge thanks to everyone who came by to say hi. I met so many amazing people and you all were so nice to me, I really appreciate it. I started to write a little shoutout to all the great people I met, but after about a dozen names I realized I’m nowhere near done and I must’ve forgotten a few people already, so have a general thank you to everyone instead! It did really mean the world to me, it’s great meeting people who like my art and just in general to hang out with nice people. I had so much fun!
My wife and I also met Ashleigh Ball and kinda told her how her and I met because we were doing fanart of Appledash and everything (sans the porn). She was super nice while we spilled our spaghetti all over her.
Sadly I caught the flu at the con, so I was pretty sick for a few days afterwards, and then I infected my wife and she was pretty sick for a few days, hence why I was pretty quiet the last few days.
But now it’s back to drawing! I hope I can start posting new things really soon. As usual I have about six pieces in various stages of finishedness that I’m working on right now. I’ll start streaming ASAP again as well, so stay tuned!
Some people have been asking if I’m going to do another After Babscon Sale, and I’ll try to set it up in the next few days, but I want to finish some new art first! I’ll try to post it this week!

I’m in the middle of moving and renovating the new place right now, so much work! Got most of the furniture over here yesterday and I finished setting up the computer today. I should be back up at drawing again very soon!
I’ll also be at Further Confusion this weekend, I’ll have a small table at the artist alley on Friday and I’ll just be attending and hanging out the rest of the weekend. Probably drawing lots of traditional art. I’ll have some nice nsfw smut in the art show as well. And I helped design some signs and merchandise for the convention, so I’m super excited for it!
I’ll definitely share some photos with you guys during the weekend!
If you’re gonna be there, lemme know and maybe we can go take a drink at the Klingon room party or something! Last year I ended up handing out the traditional pics I’ve drawn during the con to fans as well. I really hope I get to see some of you guys again, I had a blast last year! Hey guys! I got a bunch of questions from people asking if the Daki will be available at a later time since Christmas season was pretty demanding on people’s wallets. If you know you definitely want to order one but can’t pay for it yet, please fill out a pre-order form regardless! Just mention in the notes section when you’re able to pay and I won’t send the invoice until then!
That way I’ll definitely order enough from the printer and you’ll get one for sure!

I miss the snow, the holidays don’t feel the same to me ever since I moved to California since I grew up where Christmas was synonymous with snow outside. But it’s amazing celebrating it with someone I love.

Lovely print, though I’d recommend looking at a printer which would offer a “peach fuzz” or two-way tricot option. I see that particular daki has that loose “frill” around the edges, and doesn’t have a zipper. The material on those isn’t that great compared to other material options. I know it may be a little more price-wise for a better fabric, but in the end it would be worth it to those who would be buying them.
The one in the photo is just a prototype. The actual product will have a zipper and no frill around the edges! The actual one comes as Peach Fuzz or you can upgrade it to 2-Way Tricot for an extra fee, as written in the text part of the post and outlined in the order form.
Rainbow Dash + Applejack! Preferably doing naughty things together, as far as I can tell :P

I started working on a Thanksgiving related AJ picture today! I hope I’ll be able to finish it in time, but I might be a day late. I hope it’ll still be appreciated! It’s going to be similar to the one Thanksgiving picture I drew a few years ago I’d you remember it, but a different point of view. I’m excited to work on it!
I’m helping out my wife with work over the holidays, so my drawing time is pretty limited this week, hence why I’m not sure I’ll be done in time. But stay tuned!
