Well i think furry and pony is something very different Maybe that last anon means the anthro one wich is also not my favourite (its not really the original characters and well...less interesting as its like human and not clop) but AMAZING pack and work of you and the others anyway! :D
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

I do think furry and pony are a subset of the same general idea and very much alike, even tho a lot of furries (and bronies alike) will have an aneurism when I say that, haha. But yes, people have argued in circles about this since the beginning of time.

Anyways, I also think Anon was talking about the Anthro comic! I’m not too much of a fan of Anthro myself, preferring feral/clop stuff. But I know there are a lot of people who like it, and really, only one out of seven comics is Anthro, if someone really doesn’t like it, it’s not too difficult to just not look at that one comic. I mean ignoring 80% of content that absolutely caters to someone’s taste because the other 20% doesn’t sounds like an overreaction.

But I do understand not wanting to support something that contains things you don’t agree with. After all, voting with our wallets is something very important that everyone can (and absolutely should!) do. But the message felt a bit self-entitled. Like, it’s okay to not support something, but why send a message about it, it’s not like the maker of the pack is going to censor the pack just to pander to one person. That would be silly. Anon just wanted to be a dick.

Thanks so much for liking the pack, it means a lot <3

Asker Anonymous Asks:
What? Based on the preview images most of it is pony, not furry.
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

It was a joke, because arguably porn of anthropomorphized colorful ponies is pretty furry!

Asker Anonymous Asks:
Make a version without the furry crap and I'll buy it.
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

You mean get rid of everything in the pack?

Check it out guys, I was a part of a super fun and exciting project! Sadly because of time restrains the comic I provided is very short, only 2 pages (AJ getting spanked), out of a whopping 72 pages of amazing content included in this pack. But yeh, the whole pack is super cute and hot and @fearingfun did an amazing job putting it all together. The whole pack is tied together by Lyra and Bonbon lovingly announcing each comic and commenting on them, it’s super adorable.

Also if you like fluids as much as I do, you’ll absolutely love Fearing’s threesome comic!

I hope that wasn’t super boring.

I've noticed a lot of artists nowadays are using Paint Tool Sai, including you. What's your opinion on it compared to other graphics programs? Also merry (late) Christmas!
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

I really like the stabilizer feature in sai, plus it has most of the useful tools other programs have. I wish I could type in it tho, and I miss some filters and everything from photoshop, so I switch back between sai and Photoshop if I need to do something that Sai can’t handle.

I tried Manga Studio, too, and I liked it, it has some very interesting features but in the end I was too comfortable with sai to change. I personalized my sai a lot, pretty much all the brushes are individualized, I put a lot of time into arranging hotkeys, settings and everything. I’m very comfortable using sai, and I think that’s the most important thing about choosing the tool of your trade.

It doesn’t matter too much which program you chose, what matters is that you can make yourself feel comfortable using it. And I’m sure a lot is just getting accustomed to the program. I don’t think any program is inherently better than another. But it helps that sai has the great stabilizer and a lot of convenient features and is relatively cheap. I think that’s what makes it popular. While photoshop is amazing and does great things, most of its features won’t be needed on a daily basis by the average artist.

I hope I could help!

Hey just wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR! rat i am to busy to see your stream today but ill catch you another time, But i just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and that i hope 2015 was a great year for you, Definitely was great for me this was the year i discovered your amazing art plus some other great milestones as well so here's to a great 2015 and hope 2016 will be just as great as 2015 see you next year and thanks rat for all the great art.
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

Hey! Thank you so much! Glad to hear you had a great 2015, me too! Here’s to an amazing 2016!

You’re welcome for all my art, thank you for liking it!

What type of tablet do you use for drawing? Also, do you have any recommendations for beginning artists?
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

I use an Intuos 5 nowadays, I used a very cheap no name brand when I started out, and that did its job well enough. Even tho it was really small. For a beginning artist, I would recommend nothing too expensive, but get something that’s not too small, because otherwise you’ll have to re-learn how to draw on a bigger space if you upgrade.

I heard monoprice tablets are pretty good and cheap. But make sure to research them, I heard they don’t like two monitor setups. I do like Wacom, their drivers are insane and there’s a small chance the driver will die every time you look angry at your tablet, other than that I’ve been very happy with my Intuos, it took a lot of abuse over the years and I like how it feels. I also heard good things about the Bamboo, Wacom’s beginners level tablets, too. So I would probably go with a Bamboo. But in the end if you don’t have too much income to spare for a tablet and you just want to draw, get whatever you can afford. Any tablet is better than no tablet. Any drawing is better than no drawing!

My advice for new artists: Draw. Keep drawing. Don’t stop drawing. Every day!

What a year! I drew 64 pictures (not including countless edits and different versions) in 2015. It was difficult choosing my favorites for each month! You can see all of the pics I did this year in my dropbox folder here. (Other than the butt for October, this one is exclusive to the Pony Plot Book 2)

Here’s hoping I’ll draw even more in 2016. I’m shooting for 100 pictures, at least.

Some art related achievements in 2015:

  • Created my very own printed artbook (Rat’s Pornfolio) for the first time and it sold out, twice! (Big thanks to Lysander for all the help)
  • Had a table for the first time at a purely furry convention
  • Had people get into a bidding war over one of my art pieces in an art show
  • Drew some official promo material for Babscon
  • Submitted a bunch of art to the Babscon art show and sold everything
  • Had a table at Babscon for the second year in a row and met a lot of really great people
  • Reached over 9,000 followers on my porn tumblr
  • Have over 600 pictures with my artist tag on Derpibooru
  • Attended a furry convention out of state where I met my favorite porn artist and art jammed with him and a bunch of amazing people. Also, got drunk with the co-founder and CEO of Bad Dragon
  • Moved and decorated my new work space with a lot of amazing art from so many wonderful people
  • Commissioned my first piece of art (Yeh, really, I never officially commissioned someone before, weird!)
  • Managed to not break one of my arms for the second year in a row! Let’s hope I can keep this streak going, my track record isn’t the best…

Other than that I had a bunch of great experiences and firsts in my personal life as well. I can’t believe how fast this year went by. Here’s hoping I’ll manage to do a lot of great things in 2016 as well. I have a bunch of ambitious new year resolutions, but you guys know how well people manage to stick to them.

Anyways, Happy New Year, everyone!

Thank you SO MUCH for properly using mistletoe. It just bugs the shit out of me when folks mistakenly use holly.
ratofponi ratofponi Said:

Haha, that bugs me too. I couldn’t believe how much holly I saw when I googled mistletoe to get some references.

And here’s the pee edit, as requested!

High res here.

Merry Christmas everybody!

High res here!

I hope all of you have some wonderful days and are enjoying them!

Each month, the people who support me on patreon provide a bunch of ideas and then vote on them to decide what kind of picture I draw for them that month. For December this lovely idea won. It was pretty much a Christmas present to myself, since I absolutely love drawing AJ! So thank you very much to everyone who voted for this idea!

If you want to help decide on what picture I draw next month for my patreons, please consider supporting my patreon.

since you did that lewd BB-8 art, which was fantastic btw, thought you might get a kick out of this :P

Haha, that’s awesome! Thanks @rwby-fan!
